The Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad is up to nine members after the team’s latest additions on Tuesday.
Defensive tackle Christian Tupou, wide receiver Kevin Cone and running back Dominique Williams were added to the squad.
Tupou is a familiar face. He spent the preseason with the Cardinals and was part of the 53-man roster cut this past Saturday.
Cone spent the preseason with the Miami Dolphins, after signing with the team on April 3. Cone played in all 16 games for the Falcons in 2013. He had one catch for 12 yards while playing some special teams (seven tackles).
Cone came into the league in 2011 as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Tech and linked on with the Falcons. In his first two seasons (2011-12) in Atlanta, cone had three tackles on special teams.
Williams comes to the Cardinals by way of the Minnesota Vikings, whom he signed with as a rookie free agent out of Wagner this past May. Williams was quite productive in his time at Wagner. For his collegiate career, Williams rushed for 4,435, the third-most yardage in school history. Williams gained over 1,000 yards in each of his final three collegiate seasons.
Williams rushed for 100+ yards in 26 of 43 games in his career.
